The project "What do we teach about our neighbours" started officially 01.06. 2007, but preliminary work started even before.

June and July, 2007 were devoted to the research of standards, programmes, textbooks to find out information about our neighbours, collecting materials for presentations. Every team looked through history teaching standards, school programmes and textbooks in order to find out what do we teach about the other countries involved in project. The additional request from HTA of Latvia appeared during the working process- to collect also some useful information on sources, books, websites the others can study in English and find trustful information about your country. The experienced expert in history teaching- Ms. Joke van der Leuuw- Roord from EUROCLIO was invited to take part in project and help with analysing project materials and presentations. The Ministry of Education of Republic of Latvia was involved in preparation of programme for seminar.
